Sun Enters Capricorn

On December 21st, the Sun will leave Sagittarius and enter Capricorn at exactly 4:02 am CST. Today also marks the Solstice, a day when the Sun spends the least amount of time above the horizon in the northern hemisphere and the most in the southern. And to top things off, it is also the day of the Great Conjunction, when Jupiter and Saturn meet in Aquarius. To say the least, this is a turning point, finally, at the end of 2020.

This is also the first time a couple of years that the Sun doesn’t have to report to Saturn in Capricorn. Now that Saturn is in Aquarius, it has loosened its restrictions a bit. We have a little more room to function in, and we see different options as possible now. This Aquarius/Capricorn combination can teach us to solidify our grand ideas and create realistic plans to reach our lofty goals.

It is again a good reminder that ideas and concepts need structure to flourish and that we must take concrete action to achieve our aspirations. Consider how you want your life structured, and also consider where your life is now. How well do they line up? What steps can you take to live the life you intend?

The Sun will join Pluto in Capricorn on January 14th. Leading up to this date, we may experience resistance to the changes we intend to implement. We may have moments where we will feel powerless and that we may be entirely out of our league. Please remember that there is always resistance to change and that we still must change anyway. Yes, there may be consequences when we oppose the system's rules, but we should expect that. If you need to, take a break for a few days, reset, and then get back to the work you intend to do.
