Venus Enters Aquarius

Venus enters Aquarius on January 2nd at exactly 8:09 pm CST and will stay here until January 26th. For the second time in a row, Venus will be ruled by a strong Saturn, pushing us to raise our standards and avoid annoying relationships. Again, if we are approaching others unseriously, we may not get positive results.

Traditional astrology views Venus in Aquarius a little differently. It doesn’t see this placement as Venus valuing freedom and space; instead, it sees Venus in Aquarius as wanting long-lasting relationships built around similar ethical practices and appreciating each others’ unique attractiveness. So spend the next three weeks considering what draws you toward others and if their morals and standards match your own.

Venus’ first connection is on January 3rd, when it connects with Jupiter. Taking a risk in a relationship may pay off around this time, especially if it is centered around commitment. You may also want to consider putting some money into savings if possible.

Then on January, 9th, Venus connects pleasantly with a retrograde Mars. A conversation may clear up confusion around past actions. Take a moment to clear the air in a relationship if necessary.

Venus connects with Chiron on the 12th. We can manage an insecurity around a relationship or financial situation by stepping back and seeing the bigger picture.

Next, on January 14th, Venus squares off with Uranus. This alignment may push us to make changes we’d rather avoid out of stubbornness. Try to embrace being a bit more flexible in your relationships.

Finally, on January 22nd, Venus joins Saturn. This is an ideal time to move a relationship to a more committed or stable place. This is also an excellent time to make decisions that allow you to be more responsible with your money.

Venus in Aquarius catches what others overlook. It sees what makes others particularly attractive and is willing to appreciate those qualities that others fail to notice. Loving someone for who they really are is a way of celebrating their specialness. So let others know that you truly see them and that you aren’t going anywhere.
