New Moon

Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Libra

On October 14th, there will be a New Moon in Libra at exactly 12:55 pm CDT and a Solar Eclipse. The eclipse will last from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in Chicago, but this varies on location, so please check www.timeanddate.com for more information. All eclipses are considerable, but this one is especially significant, so please prepare some time and space to be alone with your feelings this weekend.

New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Taurus

There is a partial Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Taurus on Saturday, April 30th at exactly 3:28 pm CDT. All of the eclipses in 2022 occur in either Taurus or Scorpio, so keep your eye on those houses in your chart. Expect some significant evolutions to come out of those areas of your life this year. Since this is only a partial eclipse, we may feel like whatever we discover, we’re only getting part of the story or missing some information. But remember, eclipses bring disturbances, so embrace it all as part of the cycle.

New Moon in Capricorn

There is a New Moon in Capricorn on Sunday, January 2nd, at exactly 12:33 pm CST. This is a critical moment that sets the tone for the new year. We must be more disciplined, tenacious, and diligent if we want the best outcomes for ourselves.

What is a major goal we have for 2022? If we are unsure, we should narrow it down now and be ready to commit to it. Saturn has the most dignity during this New Moon, so we need to understand that it won’t be easy. But if we are prepared to work for what we want, we may be amazed at what we can accomplish. This advice applied doubly to our relationships and money as Venus is retrograde and will soon join the New Moon. Be ready and rise to the occasion if the relationship is important to you, and make sure you prioritize any financial goals.

The Moon is in a challenging position during this New Moon, so it may be uncomfortable to get in touch with our feelings. It does share a minor mutual reception with Mars, so if we can get ourselves to access our emotions and act accordingly, it should go relatively well.

We shouldn’t forget that Jupiter recently re-entered Pisces and has the second most dignity after Saturn. Don’t be afraid to be compassionate or sensitive right now because the more loving and kind your spirit is, the more insightful your actions will be.

ARIES RISING: Get exact about your career goals or how you would like to improve your public image. Envision what you can accomplish with hard work and dedication.

TAURUS RISING: Work on committing yourself to a belief system and more logical or empirical philosophies. Get serious about your education.

GEMINI RISING: Approach your deepest fears with more maturity. Commit to facing them and working diligently to overcome them.

LIBRA RISING: Commit yourself more to your family and home. Take any lessons from your ancestors or family traditions and apply them more diligently.

SCORPIO RISING: Focus on communicating more logically and objectively. Do not rush yourself when speaking; think things through. Be more committed to your siblings and neighbors.

SAGITTARIUS RISING: Approach your financial situation with more maturity and diligence. Set long-term, responsible goals for your money or assets.

CAPRICORN RISING: Focus on ensuring that others see you as a competent and responsible person. Outwardly show that you are capable of hard work and discipline.

AQUARIUS RISING: Work hard behind the scenes, and cultivate a more secure sense of self. Use periods of isolation to focus on wisdom and discipline.

PISCES RISING: Approach your hopes for the future with more tenacity and diligence. Be more pragmatic and objective about who your associate with.

New Moon in Scorpio

The New Moon in Scorpio happens on November 4th at precisely 4:15 pm CDT. Don’t be surprised to be surprised during this Scorpio New Moon. It is tightly opposed to Uranus in Taurus, indicating that life isn’t done throwing us curveballs. November is going to be a rough month, and this New Moon sets the stage. We are still grappling with our fears and letting them hold us back. Unfortunately, sometimes we can’t just push through something quickly, and right now, we are being forced to just sit with this energy for a while longer.

On the positive side, the Sun and Moon are separating from a square to Saturn, so the worst is actually behind us in many cases. That doesn’t mean everything is smooth sailing now, but matters are working towards a resolution. I want us to consider that a certain situation that seems horrible to us right now might not actually be as bad as we’re assuming.

Use this New Moon to collect yourself and prepare for some turbulent weeks ahead. I promise by the time we get to January, the situation astrologically will improve a lot. So hang in there, and remember, as always, to practice loving-kindness.

ARIES RISING: Begin to face your fears around intimacy. You only hold yourself back when you close yourself off to other people.

TAURUS RISING: Create deeper relationships. Others may be tired of only seeing one side of you.

GEMINI RISING: Establish a more meaningful daily routine. Learn how your emotions influence your physical health.

CANCER RISING: Find joy by connecting deeply with what inspires you.

LEO RISING: Be more present at home or with your family. Begin to care deeply about what helps you feel grounded.

VIRGO RISING: Begin to be more honest and open in the way you communicate.

LIBRA RISING: Start to consider what assets you truly value and how you can protect what matters to you.

SCORPIO RISING: Begin to be more present and aware of your body. What radiates in us also radiates out towards others.

SAGITTARIUS RISING: Make time to be alone with yourself to reflect on your fears and emotions deeply.

CAPRICORN RISING: Be more open in your friendships and alliances. Don’t avoid emotional connection.

AQUARIUS RISING: Begin to show a deeper side of yourself publicly.

PISCES RISING: Incorporate what you believe more profoundly. Dig deeper into sources of knowledge.

New Moon in Libra

This is quite a different New Moon than usual. Usually, I would say that this is a quiet time where we should reflect on what we would like to begin or shift our attention to, but Mars joins this New Moon, and all three planets are ruled by Venus in Scorpio, so the energy may be anything but calm. For this New Moon in Libra, we must focus on being intentional in our relationships and how we communicate. It will benefit us more if we concentrate on being more consistent and reliable than scattered or unpredictable.

New Moon in Aries

There will be a New Moon in Aries Sunday, April 11th, at precisely 9:31 pm CDT. New Moons are a time to reset and rework matters. Start working on a new plan for the next month; consider what are your goals right now? What would you like to start focusing more on?

Venus and Mercury are near the Sun and Moon during this New Moon, indicating that we should rethink how we approach others. How can we combine forces with others who feel similarly passionate as us? This New Moon may remind us that it is not always best to go after our desires alone.

Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Sagittarius

On Monday, December 14th, there will be a Solar Eclipse and New Moon in 23 degrees of Sagittarius. The eclipse itself will last about three hours. Do not start anything important on Monday. Solar eclipses bring intense energy that does not lend itself well to new beginnings. Instead, focus on what you should eliminate or cut out of your life. This is a good time to purge what hasn’t been working for you or is holding you back.
