Mercury Retrograde in Virgo

Mercury will station retrograde in Virgo on August 23rd at exactly 2:59 pm CDT and will continue this backward motion until September 15th. Retrogrades always create challenges for us, and this will be no exception. Making matters even more intense, this retrograde will also affect the Sun in Virgo as Mercury is its ruler, so prepare for an especially tricky next few weeks.

Sun Enters Virgo

The Sun enters Virgo on August 23rd at exactly 4:01 pm CDT and will stay here until September 22nd. Virgo’s ruler Mercury will be retrograde for most of this time, making the next four weeks more challenging than usual. Although this may be a frustrating period for many of us, we can use it to work on our problem-solving techniques and be more thoughtful about our intentions.

Venus Enters Virgo

Venus enters Virgo on September 4th at 11:05 pm CDT and will stay here until September 29th. This will be a tricky Venus transit as Venus’ ruler, Mercury, will station retrograde on September 9th, which means our relationships may begin to backpedal or hit some bumps. We may become over-critical of where things stand, and it will be crucial for us not to get lost in a maze of analysis or judgment.

Sun Enters Virgo

The Sun enters Virgo on August 22nd at exactly 10:16 pm CDT and will stay here until September 22nd. This Virgo season will be a little different than usual because Mercury, the Sun’s ruler, will retrograde in Libra starting September 9th. Whatever important decisions we’d like to make, we should make them soon.

Mercury Enters Virgo

Mercury enters Virgo on August 4th at exactly 1:58 am CDT and will stay here until August 25th. Mercury is back in one of its home signs where it is most comfortable, but that will mean our minds will be more active than usual. We all have a unique relationship with our minds, so for some of us, this will be a very productive time, but others may find themselves overwhelmed and constantly trying to interpret information. Let’s make sure to take breaks and get out of our heads occasionally.

Sun Enters Virgo

The Sun enters Virgo on Sunday, August 20th at exactly 4:35 pm CDT and will stay here until September 22nd. For the past several weeks, while the Sun was in Leo, we expressed ourselves more confidently; now, we shift towards more internal processing. We should start to approach matters more analytically with attention to detail. Pick apart what really serves you in this world and what doesn’t anymore.

Mars Enters Virgo

Mars leaves Leo and enters Virgo on Thursday, July 29th at precisely 3:32 pm CDT and stays here until September 14th. For now, we can expect our actions to be less expressive but more thoughtful and precise. Sometimes holding back and analyzing the situation is just as valid as bravely rushing into something.

Venus Enters Virgo

On Friday, October 2nd, Venus leaves Leo and enters Virgo at 3:48 pm CDT. Our relationships and what we value are about to get a lot more practical. Since Virgo is a Mercury-ruled earth sign, we are more willing to put effort into what we care about and be more verbal when showing appreciation. Venus is uncomfortable in Virgo, as it can be too analytical and critical at times for love to thrive. We should remember not to set our standards or expectations too high.

Sun Enters Virgo

On Saturday, August 22nd, the Sun leaves Leo and enters Virgo. Virgo is an earth sign, ruled by Mercury, so we are better equipped for the next few weeks to be more analytical and observant. Life becomes a largely mental exercise while the Sun is here. While that can help us be much more productive, it can lead us to become rather particular, to where we want things exactly the way we want them.

Mercury Enters Virgo

Today, August 19th, Mercury leaves dramatic, expressive Leo and enters Virgo. Mentally we will shift our thoughts and ideas to more practical matters. We will also be more focused and analytical as well. Mercury in Virgo likes factual information, and also likes to organize that information in a useful way. This is going to be a much more productive few weeks for us mentally.

Full Moon in Virgo

The Full Moon in Virgo will be exact March 9th at 12:47pm CST. The dichotomy between Virgo and Pisces, which are opposite each other, will be palpable during this Full Moon. The Sun, in Pisces, will be joined closely by Neptune, a planet which has a tendency to make matters less clear. The Virgo Full Moon doesn’t appreciate this because it values organization and clarity. So while it may seem like we are trying to get some orderliness in our lives, we keep losing our way.

The best way to understand this Full Moon is to look to Jupiter in Capricorn because both the Moon and Sun connect to it during the Full Moon.
