Mercury Enters Taurus

On Monday, April 19th, Mercury will enter Taurus at 5:29 am CDT after spending the last three weeks in Aries. During that time, we focused on brainstorming new ideas and initiating conversations. We should now focus on which of those ideas has the power to last and which conversations can lead us somewhere productive. Shift your attention to the ideas you want to focus on for the next three weeks.

Venus Enters Taurus

On Wednesday, April 14th, Venus leaves Aries and enters Taurus at exactly 1:22 pm CDT. Relationship and financial matters begin to start to settle into something more permanent, and we are focusing on situations that have actual staying power and provide us with some security. We should also prioritize our own comfort and look into how we can incorporate a little more indulgence in our lives.

New Moon in Aries

There will be a New Moon in Aries Sunday, April 11th, at precisely 9:31 pm CDT. New Moons are a time to reset and rework matters. Start working on a new plan for the next month; consider what are your goals right now? What would you like to start focusing more on?

Venus and Mercury are near the Sun and Moon during this New Moon, indicating that we should rethink how we approach others. How can we combine forces with others who feel similarly passionate as us? This New Moon may remind us that it is not always best to go after our desires alone.

Mercury Enters Aries

On Saturday, April 3rd, at 11:41 pm, Mercury will leave Pisces and enter Aries. I think we are all more than ready to leave the fogginess behind us and now communicate with much more focused intention. We will finally be more confident in our mental capacities and how we share information with others. We can also better initiate conversations with others, so reach out to someone you haven’t spoken with in a while, and be sure to incorporate mentally stimulating activities and release any pent-up thoughts or ideas.

Sun Enters Aries

On Saturday, March 20th, the Sun will enter Aries at exactly 4:37 am CDT marking the spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the fall equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. This also means we will finally have a planet in a fire sign! If you’ve been feeling especially unmotivated over the last few months, the Sun entering Aries will help us feel more energized, passionate, and ready to take the initiative.

Mercury Enters Pisces

On March 15th at precisely 5:26 pm, Pisces leaves Aquarius and enters sensitive and intuitive Pisces for a three-week stay. We should expect to have more intuitive thoughts, ideas, and exchanges of more sensitive and sincere information. Mercury is in Fall and Detriment in Pisces because communications, thoughts, and ideas can be a bit nebulous or unclear. But if we are properly prepared, we can actually take advantage of this by prioritizing sensitive matters and things that require creativity.

Mars Enters Gemini

Mars leaves Taurus and enters Gemini on Wednesday, March 3rd, at exactly 9:30 pm CST. Mars’ ruler will also change from Venus to Mercury, meaning we should expect a lot more conversations, verbal debates, and possibly fighting for others’ attention. Mars also moves into a mutable sign, so our actions will be less fixed, but we will be more flexible and adaptable. Also, Mars has been in a contentious relationship with Saturn for most of the last year, making matters stall and leaving us frustrated; this move into Gemini will lighten a lot of that tension.

Venus Enters Pisces

On February 25th at 7:11 am CST, Venus will leave Aquarius and enter Pisces. Venus will stay here until March 21st. Venus enjoys their time in Pisces as it is a sign where we consider it “exalted,” meaning Venus is treated like an honored guest. Since Pisces is a Jupiter ruled sign and its ruler is currently in Aquarius, this will be a less dreamy version of Venus in Pisces, but we still have that sense of being concerned with the greater good.

Venus Enters Aquarius

On Monday, February 1st, Venus leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius. This will also bring the total number of planets in Aquarius up to five! We will continue to be more progressive and revolutionary, leaving outdated ways of relating to the world behind us. Hold others to higher standards if necessary, and choose to love independent of what others think. Consider donating to causes you especially feel close to or taking part in mutual aid pools while Venus is here.

Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius

On Saturday, January 30th, Mercury will officially station retrograde in Aquarius. This retrograde will last until about February 20th, but avoid starting anything important or buying expensive electronics until February 26th. Mercury will spend its entire retrograde in Aquarius, prompting us to reflect, take our time, and think things through, especially regarding social issues and personal responsibility.

Sun Enters Aquarius

On Tuesday, January 19th, the Sun will leave Capricorn for Aquarius. Although Saturn rules both signs, Aquarius being an air sign gives the Sun much more flexibility and insightfulness. The Sun will stay in Aquarius until February 18th. Spend the next four weeks focusing on how best to help others and, while doing so, creating a better space for yourself.

Venus Enters Capricorn

Venus enters Capricorn on Friday, January 8th, at 9:41 am CST. This isn't the most fun or exciting placement for Venus, but it will allow us to take stock and evaluate things from a more realistic perspective. We should also use this time to look at our financial situation and assess it realistically, as Venus also rules money. Venus in Capricorn is here to teach us that life can't always be fun, but also that fun maybe isn't the most important part of our lives anyway. Commitment, loyalty, and dedication are overlooked, undervalued assets that we must also learn to appreciate.

Mercury Enters Aquarius

Friday, January 8th at 6:00 am CST, Mercury leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius. Mercury will spend a little longer than usual here (until March 15th) due to an upcoming retrograde on January 30th that will last until February 20th. Now we will have a chance to zoom way out and get a different perspective on matters. We can finally let of being pedantic in our thoughts and words. Now we are being called to use our voices and stories to speak out against what we think is wrong.

Mars Enters Taurus

Mars finally leaves Aries and enters Taurus on January 6th at exactly 4:27 pm CST. Mars spent six months in Aries, which is unusually long due to a retrograde. I know many of us have felt a lot of frustration over the last six months, hopefully that will change now. Mars will stay in Taurus until March 3rd with no retrogrades, yay! Mars in Taurus is all about slow and consistent action, so focus your energy on things you can stick to and matters that require commitment. Check-in with yourself and make sure you are making progress, though; Mars can sometimes be a little too slow in Taurus, so make sure you aren't putting things off.
